Your privacy is very important to me. At Scottish Mandolin I have a few fundamental principles that I follow:
I don’t ask you for personal information unless I truly need it.
I don’t share your personal information with anyone.
I don’t store personal information on my servers unless required for the on-going operation of my site.
Who I am
This website is operated by Lesley Allton. Please use the contact page to contact me
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
When you use the contact form on this website your name, email and comment will be stored. This is for the sole purpose of contacting you. It will not be used for marketing purposes or sold to 3rd parties.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long I retain your data
If you use the contact form your data will be retained indefinitely. Consent to use this data can be removed at any time by contacting me via the contact page. Your data will then be removed.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have submitted a contact form, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that we erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Your data will never be sold to third parties for marketing purposes
